 Introduction:

Australia is a country of diverse cultures, images and people. Through its history many significant events and the people involved in those events have shaped the way we see ourselves as a nation. We call this our national identity.

Through this unit of work you will have the opportunity to investigate some of the people, events, cultural influences and images of our country that will help you to develop your own understanding of what makes Australia and Australians unique and special.

 


Task:

Congratulations! You have been selected to represent Australia on an international exchange student program. You are required to make a five minute presentation to your host school, on the topic "We are Australian". What is it that makes us unique?

Your presentation needs to include: images of Australia, significant events, famous Australians and cultural influences that have shaped our Nation.

Your presentation can be created as either a WEBPAGE or POWERPOINT presentation.
